Storks have a virtually cosmopolitan distribution, staying absent in the poles, the vast majority of North America and huge parts of Australia. The centres of stork variety are in tropical Asia and sub-Saharan Africa, with 8 and six breeding species respectively. Just 3 species are existing in the New Earth: wood stork, maguari stork and casino api jabiru, that's the tallest traveling chicken with the Americas.
When migrating, they stay away from crossing huge water bodies and usually adhere to land routes, such as the Strait of Gibraltar and the Bosporus.
